Ken Xie co-founded Fortinet in October 2000 and has served as its Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors ever since, also serving as President until November 2013. He is the founder-leader of the company alongside his brother Michael Xie, and before Fortinet he founded and led NetScreen Technologies (acquired by Juniper Networks in 2004) and Systems Integration Solutions. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, he holds a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University and an M.S. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
