About

Michael Xie co-founded Fortinet in October 2000 and has served as President and Chief Technology Officer since November 2013 and as a member of the Board of Directors since February 2001, previously serving as Vice President of Engineering and CTO. He is the brother of co-founder and CEO Ken Xie and is one of the company's largest stockholders.

Prior to co-founding Fortinet, Mr. Xie was Vice President of Engineering for ServGate Technologies (acquired by Amarium Technologies in April 2006), Software Director and Architect for NetScreen, and Senior Software Engineer for Milkyway Networks. He holds an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba and a B.S. and M.S. in automobile engineering from Tsinghua University.
