Mojo Networks, based in Mountain View, California, built cognitive WiFi and cloud-managed wireless networking products. It was one of Arista's first two acquisitions. Arista said the addition would extend its cognitive cloud networking approach with secure, high-performance WiFi delivered at cloud scale, broadening the company beyond its core data-center switching into the wireless campus.

Big Switch Networks, based in Santa Clara, California, was a pioneer in network monitoring and software-defined networking (SDN); its technology powers Arista's DANZ Monitoring Fabric (DMF). Arista financed the deal from existing cash and said it would expand its data-center networking solutions and strengthen its network monitoring and observability suite delivered through the CloudVision and DANZ platforms. Approximately $73.3 million (aggregate cash paid; of which $5.3 million of severance and other costs was treated as post-combination expense and excluded from purchase consideration).

Awake Security, headquartered in Santa Clara, California, was a network detection and response (NDR) platform provider whose product pairs artificial intelligence with human expertise to autonomously hunt for and respond to insider and external threats. Arista acquired all outstanding shares for total consideration of $180.5 million in cash; certain unvested Awake stock options were assumed, with the fair value of replacement options excluded from the purchase price. The deal added a dedicated NDR platform to Arista's product portfolio. $180.5 million (total purchase consideration, cash).

Arista folded Untangle's security assets into its Cognitive Unified Edge (CUE) commercial and branch offering. Arista's FY2022 10-K discloses only that the acquisition was completed 'in 2022' without a specific date or purchase price, so the date shown here is a year-only placeholder (2022-01-01). Related net operating loss carryforwards from Untangle Holdings and Pluribus Networks were noted in the FY2022 tax disclosure.

Arista disclosed the completed acquisition in its second-quarter 2022 earnings release (for the quarter ended June 30, 2022), listing 'Arista Acquires Pluribus Networks' among its company highlights, and folded the technology into Arista's Unified Cloud Fabric (UCF) for use cases including 4G/5G networks with partners such as Ericsson. The FY2022 10-K confirms Pluribus was acquired in 2022; no purchase price was disclosed.

Arista acquired the VeloCloud business from Broadcom for total cash consideration of $300.0 million, completing the deal on June 30, 2025. VeloCloud's secure, AI-optimized cloud WAN (SD-WAN) portfolio provides connectivity to customer sites of any type, complementing Arista's data-center and campus wired/wireless portfolio. The preliminary purchase price allocation recorded roughly $268.4 million of intangible assets and $148.0 million of goodwill, with about $116.4 million of net tangible liabilities assumed. $300.0 million (total cash consideration).
