TransMedics Group, Inc. leadership

Dr. Hassanein founded TransMedics, Inc. and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board since August 1998. Prior to founding the company, he completed a three-year cardiac surgery research fellowship at West Roxbury VA Medical Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, and two years of general surgery residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, where he received his M.D. in 1993.

Mr. Tobin has served as Chairperson of the TransMedics Board since July 2011 and is the retired President and CEO of Boston Scientific Corporation, where he served from 1999 to 2009. He was previously President and CEO of Biogen Inc. and spent 22 years at Baxter International Inc., rising to President and Chief Operating Officer; he currently serves as a director and lead director of Globus Medical Inc. and a director of Lyra Therapeutics.

Mr. Basile, now retired, has served on the Board since February 2016. During his 25-year tenure with the law firm King & Spalding LLP he chaired the firm's FDA and Life Sciences Practice, representing medical device, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies before the FDA, and earlier served in the FDA Chief Counsel's Office as Associate Chief Counsel for Drugs & Biologics and for Enforcement from 1975 to 1985.

Mr. Gunderson has served on the Board since August 2016. He was managing director and senior research analyst at Piper Jaffray, focused on medical technology companies, from 1992 to 2016, and currently serves as Chair of the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation board, as Executive in Residence at the University of Minnesota's Medical Industry Leadership Institute, and as a director of Merit Medical Systems, Inc.

Mr. Kania has served on the Board since December 2003 and is the managing partner of FarField Partners, a personal venture capital investment and advisory firm. He co-founded Flagship Pioneering and served as its initial chairman between 2001 and 2014, and was managing partner of the predecessor OneLiberty Funds, an early lead investor in TransMedics; over 40+ years in venture capital he has served on numerous public and private company boards.

Ms. Lovell has served on the Board since March 2021. She served as Executive Vice President, Medicare and Chief Legal Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts from July 2015 to December 2021 (and earlier as its SVP and General Counsel), was SVP of Administration and General Counsel for Boston Medical Center, and previously was First Assistant Attorney General in the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General; she currently serves as a director of Accompany Health and Devoted Health Group, Inc.

Ms. Raines has served on the Board since January 2021 and chairs the Audit Committee. She served as Chief Financial Officer of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. from October 2003 until her retirement in May 2013, after holding several finance management roles there, and currently serves on the boards of Watts Water Technologies, Inc. (since 2011) and Ocular Therapeutics, Inc. (since September 2021).

Dr. Weill has served on the Board since April 2019 and has since 2016 been Principal of the Weill Consulting Group, a biomedical consulting group focused on organ transplantation and lung disease. He served as Director of the Lung and Heart-Lung Transplant Program at Stanford University Medical Center from 2005 until 2016 and is the former Director of the Stanford Center for Advanced Lung Diseases.

Mr. Hernandez has served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since December 2024, succeeding Stephen Gordon. Prior to TransMedics he was Vice President Finance, Head of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals from 2020 to 2024, and earlier held FP&A leadership roles at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Shire plc and Unilever plc.

Mr. Cecere has served as Chief Commercial Officer since February 2026, succeeding Tamer Khayal, M.D. He was previously Founder, President and CEO of InvoSurg, Inc., a cardiopulmonary equipment distribution business, from 2010 to 2026, held sales management roles at Medtronic plc, and earlier worked in clinical and marketing roles at TransMedics from 2002 to 2006.

Mr. Corcoran has served as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations since January 2023. Prior to TransMedics he was Vice President of Division Operations (Joint Replacement) at Stryker Corporation from April 2022, after roles as Vice President of Division and Commercial Operations (Spine) and Senior Director of Division Operations, and earlier held supply chain and operations roles at Waters Corporation and Intel Corporation.

Mr. Forsyth has served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since March 9, 2026, succeeding Anil Ranganath. Prior to TransMedics he was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Global Chief Commercial Counsel, and Head of Legal Operations at IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. since June 2015, and earlier was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Sapient Corporation and an attorney at Mintz Levin.

Dr. Khayal served as Chief Commercial Officer from January 2018 until February 2026, when he transitioned to Senior Vice President of International. He previously served as the company's Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Clinical Development from 2006 to 2017 and Director of Clinical Development from 2001 to 2006, and earlier was Director of Clinical Affairs for Zentiva Group, a.s. for six years.

Mr. Ranganath served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from June 2023 until March 9, 2026, when he transitioned to a non-executive position and was succeeded by Matthew Forsyth. Under a transition agreement he remained a non-executive employee until June 7, 2026 and then served as a non-employee consultant.

Mr. Gordon served as Chief Financial Officer since March 2015 and as Treasurer and Secretary since March 2019, until he was succeeded by Gerardo Hernandez effective December 2, 2024. Prior to TransMedics he was Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis at Analogic Corporation from 2010 to 2015 and held financial leadership positions at Hologic, Cytyc, Maxtor and Hewlett-Packard.

Dr. Provost has served as Vice President of U.S. Regulatory and FDA Relations since February 2018, after serving as a regulatory consulting advisor to the company for over three years, and was a named executive officer in 2021 and 2022. Prior to TransMedics she was a Senior Regulatory Consultant at the Biologics Consulting Group, Inc. and spent 13 years as a reviewer and manager at the FDA.

Ms. Damme was disclosed as a named executive officer of TransMedics for the 2021 and 2022 fiscal years and received an RSU grant in February 2023 as a named executive officer. No title, biography, or other background information for Ms. Damme is disclosed in the available SEC filings.
