Jacques P. Perold has served as an MSCI director since 2017 and chairs the Compensation Committee.
He was President of Fidelity Management & Research Company until his retirement in 2014 and President of Geode Capital Management, LLC from 2001 to 2009. He is a trustee of New York Life's NYLI mutual funds and of Partners in Health, and co-founder and Chairman of CapShift. He holds a B.A. in economic history and a post-graduate B.A. Honours in sociology from the University of Cape Town.
