William M. Waterman is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Penn Maritime Inc., a coastal tank barge operator he led from 1983 until Penn was acquired by Kirby in 2012. He has served as an independent director of Kirby since 2012.
He has over 40 years of experience in the coastal tank barge business, building Penn into one of the largest coastal tank barge operators in the United States, transporting primarily refinery feedstocks, asphalt, and crude oil along the East Coast and Gulf Coast. He holds a BA in Economics from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
