Susan W. Dio is the retired Chairman and President of BP America Inc. (2018-2020) and former Chief Executive Officer of BP Shipping (2015-2018). She has served as an independent director of Kirby since 2023 and has over 35 years of experience in shipping and petrochemicals.
During more than 36 years at BP she held global, technical, and operational roles, including Head of Audit for Refining and Marketing, where she had oversight of operational risk management, and as CEO of BP Shipping she managed BP's fleet of operated and chartered vessels worldwide. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mississippi.
