Felicia D. Thornton has served as a non-executive director of Floor & Decor Holdings, Inc. since 2017. She brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience in retail, grocery, and specialty sectors, including CEO, CFO, and COO roles at multi-billion-dollar companies.
She has proven expertise in corporate finance, strategic growth, operational restructuring, and governance, with a track record of leading organizations through complex integrations and financial transformations. Her career includes serving as Chair of the Board of 99 Cents Only Stores (2023-2025), Vice Chair (2018-2023) and Interim CEO (2019-2020) of 99 Cents Only Stores LLC, and Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of 99 Cents Only Stores LLC (2015-2018). She was Co-Chief Executive Officer, President & COO of DeMoulas Super Markets (Market Basket) in 2014, Chief Executive Officer of Knowledge Universe U.S. (2006-2011), Chief Financial Officer & EVP of Albertsons, Inc. (2001-2006), and held senior roles at Ralphs & Fred Meyer (Kroger) from 1992 to 2000.
She is recognized for board governance and audit leadership, having served as Chair of multiple audit committees. Her other board experience includes Pactiv Evergreen Inc. (NASDAQ: PTVE, 2020-2025), Ares Acquisition Corp. I (NYSE: AAC, 2021-2023) and Ares Acquisition Corp. II (NYSE: AACT, 2023-2025), along with prior directorships at 99 Cents Only, Nordstrom, Inc., Knowledge Universe Education, CoolSys, Inc., and Convergint Technologies LLC. A member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association and an NACD Fellow since 2019 (NACD Directorship Certification since 2024), she holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Economics from Santa Clara University. She chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and joins the Audit Committee as of March 2026.
