James J. Owens is a director of Donaldson Company, serving since 2013, and is a member of the Audit Committee. He is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of H.B. Fuller Company, a leading global adhesives provider, having retired in 2022.
Owens was President and Chief Executive Officer of H.B. Fuller from 2010 to 2022; Senior Vice President, Americas in 2010; and Senior Vice President, North America from 2008 to 2010. Earlier he spent 22 years with National Starch's adhesives business, a division of ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries Limited), in a variety of positions, including Corporate Vice President and General Manager and Vice President and General Manager of the Europe/Middle East and Africa adhesives business.
Owens brings extensive experience and expertise in global manufacturing businesses and public company board experience. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
