Gregory E. Abel has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2018 and became the company's Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2026, succeeding Warren Buffett. He previously served as Berkshire's Vice Chairman - Non-Insurance Operations from 2018 to 2025. From 2008 to 2018 he was Chief Executive Officer of Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company (BHE), a wholly owned subsidiary, and served as BHE's Chairman until July 2025. Abel brings 33 years of experience in various positions at BHE and eight years overseeing Berkshire's non-insurance businesses.

Howard G. Buffett has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 1993 and is a son of Warren E. Buffett. Since 1999 he has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, a charitable foundation that directs funding for humanitarian and conservation-related issues. He also serves on the boards of several other charitable organizations. Mr. Buffett was the Sheriff of Macon County, Illinois between September 2017 and December 2018.

Susan A. Buffett has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2021 and is a daughter of Warren E. Buffett. For more than the past five years she has been Chair of The Sherwood Foundation and Chair of The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, each a private grant-making foundation based in Omaha, Nebraska. She also serves on the boards of several other charitable organizations.

Warren E. Buffett has been a director and the controlling shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway since 1965 and its Chairman since 1970. He served as Berkshire's Chief Executive Officer from 1970 through the end of 2025, when Gregory Abel succeeded him, and he continues as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Buffett owns Berkshire shares representing approximately 30.0% of the voting interest and 13.7% of the economic interest, and is deemed to be the company's controlling shareholder. His annual salary has been $100,000 for more than 40 years.

Stephen B. Burke has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2009. He was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NBCUniversal, a media and technology company, from 2011 through 2020, and President of Comcast Cable from 1998 until 2011. In 2020 he founded Madison Valley Partners, which invests in Rocky Mountain-area and outdoor-oriented companies. He is a director of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and was a director of Snowflake Inc. from May 2023 through May 2024.

Kenneth I. Chenault has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2020. He has served as Chairman and a Managing Director of General Catalyst, an investment and transformation company, since February 2018. He previously was Chief Executive Officer of American Express Company from January 2001 to February 2018 and its Chairman from April 2001 to February 2018. Chenault joined American Express in 1981 as Director of Strategic Planning and held a number of increasingly senior positions, including Vice Chairman and President and Chief Operating Officer, before becoming CEO.

Christopher C. Davis has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2021. Since 1998 he has served as Chairman of Davis Advisors, an investment management firm, and is a director of a number of mutual funds advised by Davis Select Advisers as well as other entities it controls. He is also a director of The Coca-Cola Company and Graham Holdings Company.

Susan L. Decker has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2007 and is the Board's lead independent director and chair of its Audit Committee. She is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Raftr, a community experience platform. From June 2000 to April 2009 she held various executive management positions at Yahoo! Inc., including President, head of the Advertiser and Publisher Group, and Chief Financial Officer. Decker is a Chartered Financial Analyst and served on the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council from 2000 to 2004; she also serves on the boards of Costco Wholesale Corporation, Vail Resorts, Chime and Automattic.

Charlotte Guyman has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2003 and chairs the Board's Governance, Compensation and Nominating Committee. She serves as a director of the start-up Landings Holdings and of Nordstrom, a fashion retailer, a trustee of Lakeside School, and an advisor for the University of Washington Brotman Baty Institute of Precision Medicine. She was a general manager with Microsoft Corporation until July 1999.

Ajit Jain has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway and the company's Vice Chairman - Insurance Operations since 2018. He has been employed by the Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group since 1986 and has served as an Executive Vice President of National Indemnity Company, a wholly owned Berkshire subsidiary, since 1996. Jain brings 39 years of experience managing Berkshire's reinsurance operations, one of its most important businesses, overseeing the assessment and pricing of many of the largest and most complex risks ever insured.

Thomas S. Murphy, Jr. has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2022. For more than the past five years he has been a partner of Crestview Partners, a private equity firm he co-founded in 2004, and prior to that he was a partner at Goldman Sachs & Co. He serves on the boards of several private companies as well as New York University, NYU-Langone Health and the Inner-City Scholarship Fund.

Wallace R. Weitz has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2022. He founded Weitz Investment Management, Inc. in 1983 and has since served in various roles at the firm. He is a director of Cable One, a leading broadband communications provider, and serves on the board of the Joslyn Art Museum and certain other non-profit boards.

Meryl B. Witmer has been a director of Berkshire Hathaway since 2013. For more than the past five years she has been a managing member of the General Partner of Eagle Capital Partners, L.P., an investment partnership. From 1989 through the end of 2000 she was one of two General Partners at Buchanan Parker Asset Management, which managed Emerald Partners L.P., an investment partnership.

Marc D. Hamburg is Berkshire Hathaway's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and its Secretary, having served as an executive officer since 1992. Berkshire announced that Hamburg will resign as Chief Financial Officer on June 1, 2026 and retire from the company on June 1, 2027, working with his successor during the transition. In recognition of his many decades of service, Berkshire will provide him (or his spouse) up to 30 flight hours per year on a mid-sized NetJets aircraft, with tax gross-up, for a term ending no later than May 31, 2037.

Charles C. Chang will succeed Marc D. Hamburg as Berkshire Hathaway's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on June 1, 2026, and will be paid an annual cash salary of $8,000,000. He has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Berkshire Hathaway Energy (BHE) since joining BHE on October 1, 2024. Prior to joining BHE, Chang had been a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2002. Berkshire disclosed no family relationships between Mr. Chang and any of its directors or executive officers.
