Brett Summerer has served as Accel's Chief Financial Officer since September 2025, overseeing internal and external financial reporting, internal audit, compliance and controls, investor relations, and the Company's treasury and capital-markets functions, while supporting strategic planning, business development and M&A. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Verano Holdings Corp. from 2021 to 2025, where he built a 70-person finance and IT team, led multiple system implementations and completed more than 20 M&A transactions in a regulated, multi-state industry. Earlier he held senior finance, operations and IT roles at Kraft Heinz, Corning and General Motors. He holds multiple Bachelor of Science degrees and a master's degree from Michigan State University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
