Robert A. Michael Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

Robert A. Michael is AbbVie's Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, a role he has held since July 2025; he became CEO in 2024 and served as President and Chief Operating Officer from July 2023 to June 2024. He previously held a series of senior finance leadership roles at AbbVie, including Vice Chairman and President, Vice Chairman, Finance and Commercial Operations and Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Michael first joined Abbott in 1993 and held numerous leadership positions across several business units before joining AbbVie in 2013. He has served as an AbbVie director since 2024.
