1-800-FLOWERS.COM acquired The Winetasting Network, a transaction completed in November 2004, structured as Acquisition of The Winetasting Network.

The Winetasting Network operates in Gourmet Foods & Gift Baskets, is based in United States (Napa Valley, California). 1-800-FLOWERS.COM acquired The Winetasting Network, a Napa Valley-based multi-channel direct marketer of wine gifts that provides distribution services for more than 100 California wineries and direct-to-consumer wine marketing through the Ambrosia Catalogue of Fine Wine and the winetasting.com and ambrosiawine.com websites.

Added wine to the company's fast-growing gourmet food and gift basket categories and provided entry into the wine-club business for personal and corporate gifting.

Leverage of the company's family of gift brands and 15-million-customer database to drive profitable growth for The Winetasting Network. Operated as the company's wine-gift offering within gourmet foods and gift baskets.

For some time we've been searching for the right wine partner to support our growing gourmet food gift and gift basket categories, and to gain access to the wine club business. The Winetasting Network fits all our criteria.
