Eric J. Downing has served as Werner Enterprises' Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since January 2023. He previously served since 2016 as Senior Vice President of Dedicated, after being Vice President of Specialized Services since 2012.
Since joining the company in 1998 he has held roles in operations, marketing and Logistics. He served in the United States Air Force from 1991 to 1998 and works with Werner's associate resource group for veterans. He holds a degree from the University of Nebraska - Omaha in criminology and criminal justice.
