Laura Damme has served as Vice President, Clinical Affairs at TransMedics since August 2019, and was named an executive officer of the company for the 2021 and 2022 fiscal years.
She brings more than 20 years of experience leading clinical affairs teams in the conduct and execution of medical device clinical studies that have resulted in successful regulatory approvals.
Prior to TransMedics, Ms. Damme served as Director of Clinical Studies for the United States and EMEA at Abbott (formerly Thoratec Corporation), supporting the mechanical circulatory support business beginning in 1997.
She began her career in nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan.
