Lachlan K. Murdoch has served as sole Chair of News Corporation's Board since November 2023, having previously been Co-Chair since 2014, and has been a Director since the company's June 2013 separation from its former parent. He is also Executive Chair (since 2019) and Chief Executive Officer (since 2018) of Fox Corporation, and was previously Executive Chairman of Twenty-First Century Fox and Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the former News Corporation, where he oversaw HarperCollins and the company's Australian businesses including REA Group. He initiated News Corp's controlling investment in REA Group and serves as Executive Chairman of his private company, Illyria Pty Ltd.
