José María Aznar has served as an independent Director of News Corporation since its June 2013 separation and chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, also serving on the Audit Committee. He was President of Spain from 1996 to 2004 and Executive President of the Partido Popular from 1990 to 2004, and he founded and leads the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis and el Instituto Atlántico de Gobierno. He brings the Board international government and public-policy perspective and previously served as a director of Afiniti Ltd. and of Twenty-First Century Fox.
