Mark Zuckerberg founded Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook) in 2004 and has served as its Chief Executive Officer since inception and as Chairman of the board of directors since 2012. As the company's founder and controlling shareholder, he sets Meta's overall strategy and product direction. He attended Harvard University, where he studied computer science.

Robert M. Kimmitt has served on Meta's board since 2020 and is the company's Lead Independent Director. He is Senior International Counsel at the international law firm Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, a role he has held since 2009, and previously served as U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury from 2005 to 2009. His earlier career spanned senior U.S. government posts including U.S. Ambassador to Germany and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, as well as executive roles at Time Warner and Lehman Brothers.

Peggy Alford has served on Meta's board since 2019 and chairs its Compensation, Nominating & Governance Committee. She is Chief Financial Officer of eBay Inc., a position she assumed in 2025, and previously spent several years at PayPal Holdings, including as Executive Vice President, Global Sales. Earlier in her career she served as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

Marc L. Andreessen has served on Meta's board since 2008. He is co-founder and General Partner of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, which he co-founded in 2009. A pioneering internet entrepreneur, he co-founded Netscape Communications and Opsware (formerly Loudcloud), and he currently serves on the boards of Coinbase Global and Samsara.

John Arnold joined Meta's board in 2024. He is co-founder and Co-Chair of the philanthropic organization Arnold Ventures and co-founder and Chairman of the energy infrastructure company Grid United. He previously founded and led the multi-billion dollar energy-focused investment fund Centaurus, and earlier worked at Enron.

Patrick Collison joined Meta's board in 2025. He is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stripe, the global financial infrastructure platform he started in 2010. Before joining the board he served as a member of the Meta Advisory Group from 2024 to 2025.

John Elkann joined Meta's board in 2024. He is Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the investment holding company Exor N.V. and serves as Executive Chairman of both Stellantis N.V. and Ferrari N.V. He brings global business experience from leading one of the largest European investment companies.

Andrew W. Houston has served on Meta's board since 2020. He is the co-founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the board of Dropbox, the global collaboration platform he started in 2007. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Nancy Killefer has served on Meta's board since 2020 and chairs its Audit & Privacy Committee. She spent more than two decades at McKinsey & Company, retiring as a Senior Partner, and founded the firm's global public sector practice. She also served as Assistant Secretary for Management, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and currently sits on the boards of Cardinal Health and Certara.

Charles Songhurst joined Meta's board in 2024 and chairs its Risk & Strategy Committee. He has been an independent technology investor since 2013 and previously served as General Manager of Global Corporate Strategy at Microsoft Corporation. He was a member of the Meta Advisory Group in 2024 before joining the board.

Dana White joined Meta's board in 2024. He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the world's leading mixed martial arts organization, since 2001. He brings experience scaling a global sports, media, and entertainment business, including digital content distribution and brand building.

Tony Xu has served on Meta's board since 2022. He is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DoorDash, the local commerce platform he started in 2013, and has served as its Chairman since 2020. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Dina Powell McCormick has served as President and Vice Chairman of Meta Platforms since January 2026. She previously served as a member of Meta's board of directors in 2025 and as an advisor to the company from 2025 to 2026. Before joining Meta she was Vice Chair, President and Head of Global Client Services at BDT & MSD Partners, and earlier spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs in senior leadership roles as well as senior posts in the U.S. government, including Deputy National Security Advisor. She serves on the board of Exxon Mobil Corporation.

Javier Olivan has served as Meta's Chief Operating Officer since 2022. He joined the company in 2007 as Head of International Growth and held progressively senior roles, including Vice President of Growth and Vice President of Central Products, before briefly serving as Chief Growth Officer. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Susan Li has served as Meta's Chief Financial Officer since 2022. She joined the company in 2008 and previously served as Vice President, Finance, having begun her career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley. She holds degrees in economics and in mathematical and computational science from Stanford University.

Andrew Bosworth has served as Meta's Chief Technology Officer since 2022. He joined the company in 2006 and previously led Reality Labs as Vice President from 2017 to 2022. He holds an A.B. in computer science from Harvard University.

Christopher K. Cox serves as Meta's Chief Product Officer, a role he has held since 2014 and again continuously since 2020. He joined the company in 2005 and previously served as Vice President, Product. He holds a B.S. in symbolic systems with a concentration in artificial intelligence from Stanford University.

C.J. Mahoney has served as Meta's Chief Legal Officer since 2026. He previously held senior legal roles at Microsoft Corporation, most recently as Corporate Vice President and General Counsel for Product, Services, and Go-to-Market Legal, and served as Deputy United States Trade Representative from 2018 to 2020. Earlier he was a partner at Williams & Connolly and clerked for Justice Anthony Kennedy of the U.S. Supreme Court.
