Bernadette Connaughton has served on the Halozyme Board of Directors since 2018 and chairs the Compensation Committee. She brings more than 30 years of global strategic, commercial and biopharmaceutical industry expertise.
From 2004 to October 2017, Ms. Connaughton held senior management positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Company, most recently as President of China, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, where she developed the multi-year commercialization strategy for oncology, virology and immunology products including Opdivo, Yervoy, Sprycel, Daklinza and Orencia. She previously served as Bristol-Myers Squibb's President of European Markets, Canada and Australia; President, Intercontinental; President, Japan, Pacific Rim, Australia and Canada; Senior Vice President, Cardiovascular and Metabolic Business Unit, U.S.; and Senior Vice President, Primary Care Marketing, U.S. She also served on the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industry Association's Patient Access and European Markets Committees from 2014 to 2016.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
