Steven R. Deckard

Mr. Deckard served as Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development, of Dollar General from February 2025 until the Company eliminated his position effective November 12, 2025. He began his Dollar General career in 2006 as a regional director and held roles of increasing responsibility in store operations, strategy and financial planning, and asset protection.

Effective June 1, 2023 he was named to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Growth and Emerging Markets, overseeing the Company’s Mexico expansion (Mi Súper Dollar General), pOpshelf, DG Wellbeing, real estate, and decision science and analytics, and he subsequently served as Executive Vice President, Store Operations and Development. Prior to joining Dollar General he spent more than a decade at Walmart in various leadership roles. He remained a named executive officer for fiscal 2025.
