Michael S. Dell is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dell Technologies, having served as CEO of Dell Inc. from 1984 until 2004 and again since January 2007, and as a director of the current holding company since its October 2013 going-private transaction. He also runs the family investment firm DFO Management (formerly MSD Capital), chairs the BDT & MSD Advisory Board, and established the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in 1999. He previously chaired VMware (until its 2023 acquisition by Broadcom) and SecureWorks (until its 2025 acquisition by Sophos).
