Anthony Welters joined Carlyle's Board of Directors effective October 27, 2015, is the Chairperson of the Compensation Committee, and a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
He is Founder, Chairman and CEO of CINQCARE Inc., a physician-led, community-based ambulatory care delivery system; Executive Chairman of the BlackIvy Group, focused on building commercial enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa; and Chairman of Somatus, Inc., a value-based kidney care company. He founded AmeriChoice in 1989 and, upon its acquisition by UnitedHealth Group in 2002, joined UHG serving as Senior Adviser to the Office of the CEO and Executive Vice President and Member of the Office of the CEO, retiring in 2016.
