Dorsey is a co-founder of Block and has served as its principal executive officer and a board member since July 2009, holding the title Block Head since April 2022 (previously CEO and President) and serving as Chairperson of the board since October 2010. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Twitter, Inc. from May 2007 to October 2008 and again as CEO of Twitter from July 2015 to November 2021, and was on Twitter's board from May 2007 to May 2022. He was selected for the board for his perspective as a founder and Block Head and his extensive experience with technology companies and innovation.

Roelof BothaLead Independent DirectorSince 2011

Botha has served on Block's board since January 2011 and as Lead Independent Director since June 2022. He is a Partner at the venture capital firm Sequoia Capital, where he has been since 2003, and previously served in various roles at PayPal Holdings, Inc. from 2000 to 2003, including as Chief Financial Officer. He serves on the boards of Unity Software Inc., Natera, Inc., MongoDB, Inc., and Ethos Technologies Inc., and holds a B.S. from the University of Cape Town and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Brooks has served on Block's board since October 2019. Since September 2025 she has served as President, Global Business Development at the National Basketball Association, having held various NBA leadership positions since January 2010, including President, New Business Ventures and President, Team Marketing & Business Operations and Chief Innovation Officer. She holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and was selected for the board for her sales and marketing experience and expertise growing a global brand.

Carter, known professionally as Jay-Z, has served on Block's board since May 2021 and is a musician, songwriter, record executive, producer, and entrepreneur. He is co-founder and majority owner of Roc Nation LLC and founder of Marcy Media LLC since 2008, and co-founder and Manager of Marcy Venture Partners, L.P. since March 2019. He founded TIDAL, now majority owned by Block, in March 2015, and founded the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation in 2003; he was selected for the board for his entrepreneurial, branding, and marketing experience.

James McKelveyDirectorSince 2009

McKelvey is a co-founder of Block and has served on its board since July 2009. Since March 2025 he has served as CEO of Fastrials, Inc., a clinical trial management company he co-founded, and has held various positions at Mira Smart Conferencing, Inc. since March 2012. He currently serves on the board of Emerson Electric Co. and previously served as Chair of the St. Louis Federal Reserve from January 2022 to December 2023; he holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis.

Eisen has served on Block's board since February 2025. Since January 2025 he has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Reshop US, Inc., and previously served as Block's co-lead of Afterpay from January 2022 (when Block acquired Afterpay Limited) to November 2024. He co-founded Afterpay in November 2014 and served as its co-CEO and a board member; he holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance from UNSW Australia and was selected for the board for his financial services and fintech expertise, particularly in Buy Now, Pay Later services.

Garutti has served on Block's board since July 2017. From April 2012 to May 2024 he served as Chief Executive Officer and a board member of Shake Shack Inc., having previously served as its Chief Operating Officer since January 2010, and before that was Director of Operations for Union Square Hospitality Group, LLC. He holds a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and was selected for the board for his business expertise and leadership of a global brand.

Meeker has served on Block's board since June 2011. Since January 2019 she has served as a General Partner of Bond Capital, having previously been a General Partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers from December 2010 to December 2018 and a Managing Director and Research Analyst with Morgan Stanley from 1991 to 2010. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from DePauw University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University, and was selected for the board for her extensive experience advising and analyzing technology companies.

Deighton has served on Block's board since May 2016. He has served as Chairman of Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs International Bank since April 2024, as non-executive Chairperson of The Economist Group since July 2018, and as non-executive Chairperson of Hakluyt Company Limited since January 2016. He previously served as Commercial Secretary to the Treasury and as a member of the House of Lords in the UK, and as CEO of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games; he was selected for the board for his financial and business expertise and international and government experience.

Neha NarulaDirectorSince 2023

Narula has served on Block's board since July 2023. She has served as Director of the Digital Currency Initiative at the MIT Media Lab since January 2017, and was previously Director of Research in digital currency there and a Senior Software Engineer at Google. She currently serves on FINRA's FinTech Industry Committee and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York's Innovations Advisory Council; she holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from MIT, and was selected for the board for her experience with distributed systems, cryptography, and programmable money.

Amrita AhujaFoundational Lead, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and People Lead

Ahuja has served as Block's Foundational Lead and Chief Operating Officer since February 2023, as Chief Financial Officer since January 2019, and as People Lead since September 2025. She previously served as CFO of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. from March 2018 to January 2019 and held various positions at Activision Blizzard, Inc. beginning in June 2010, including Senior Vice President of Investor Relations. She currently serves on the board of Airbnb, Inc. and holds a B.A. in economics from Duke University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Chrysty EsperanzaCounsel Lead, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary

Esperanza has served as Block's Counsel Lead, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since February 2023, and served as Interim Chief Compliance Officer and BSA/AML Compliance Officer from September 2024 to March 2025. She previously served as the company's General Counsel from December 2021 to February 2023 and held various positions within the Counsel team from October 2013. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and a J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings).

Brian GrassadoniaEcosystem Lead

Grassadonia has served as Block's Ecosystem Lead since August 2024, having previously served as the CEO of Cash App since January 2013. He joined the company in September 2010 and held roles including Product Manager, Director of Growth, and Director of Product Development before leading Cash App. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.

Owen Britton JenningsBusiness Lead

Jennings has served as Block's Business Lead, having previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Cash App from June 2022 to August 2024 and as Head of Product and Business of Cash App from July 2021 to June 2022. From November 2016 to July 2021 he served in various roles within the product and business function of Cash App. He holds a B.A. in philosophy from Dartmouth College.

Arnaud WeberEngineering Lead

Weber has served as Block's Engineering Lead since November 2025, having previously served as Cash App Engineering Lead from June 2025 to November 2025. From February 2023 to May 2025 he was Founder, Chief Technology Officer and Engineering Lead of Big Sur AI, and beginning in November 2019 he held various positions at Twitter, Inc. He holds a degree in Engineering, Operating System and Network from EPITA.
