Haiping Dun has served as a director of ACM Research since 2003 and is an independent director, chairing the Compensation Committee and serving on the Audit Committee. He was President of Champion Microelectronic Corp., a Taiwan-based integrated circuit company, from 2008 to 2018, and earlier was a Senior Director of Intel Corporation, where he was employed from 1983 to 2004. He received a Ph.D. in material science and engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Science in physics from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in physics from National Taiwan University.

He is the inventor of ACM's stress-free copper polishing technology and holds more than 100 patents in semiconductor equipment and process technology. Under his leadership ACM has built a broad portfolio of differentiated wet-processing tools spanning single-wafer cleaning, electrochemical plating, furnace, track, PECVD and advanced-packaging equipment, with operations conducted primarily through its ACM Research (Shanghai), Inc. subsidiary. He holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Engineering in precision engineering from Osaka University and a Bachelor of Science in precision instruments from Tsinghua University. David Wang and Jian Wang are brothers.
