Dr. Michael Hayden has served on AbCellera's Board of Directors since September 2019 and is the Lead Director, Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. He has been CEO of Prilenia Therapeutics B.V. since September 2018 and was previously Chief Scientific Officer and President of Global R&D at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (2012-2017). He founded several biotechnology companies, including Xenon Pharmaceuticals and 89bio, and serves on the boards of Ionis Pharmaceuticals and 89bio. A Killam Professor of Medical Genetics at the University of British Columbia, he holds an M.B., Ch.B. (M.D.) and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Cape Town.
John S. Montalbano has served on AbCellera's Board of Directors since November 2020 and is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. He was Chief Executive Officer of RBC Global Asset Management from 2008 to 2015, President of Phillips, Hager & North Investment Management from 2005 to 2008, and Vice Chair of RBC Wealth Management from April 2015 to December 2016. He serves as a director and Audit Committee Chair of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and as a director of Manulife Financial Corporation, and previously served on the board of Aritzia Inc. He holds a B.Comm. in Finance from the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Stephen R. Quake has served on AbCellera's Board of Directors since November 2025 and is a member of the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. He has been a professor at Stanford University since 2005, where he is the Lee Otterson Professor of Bioengineering and Professor of Applied Physics, and is a prolific inventor in DNA sequencing and microfluidic automation whose work contributed to non-invasive prenatal testing. He serves on the boards of Tachyon Therapeutics, IgGenix, Superfluid DX, ClearNote Health, Kanvas and Mirvie. He holds a B.S. in Physics and an M.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University and a D.Phil. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford.
Dr. Victor Sandor was appointed to AbCellera's Board of Directors on June 1, 2026 as an independent director. He has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and was most recently Chief Medical Officer at Array BioPharma prior to its acquisition by Pfizer, where he was instrumental in the approvals of Braftovi (encorafenib) and Mektovi (binimetinib). He previously held senior clinical-development roles at Incyte Corporation, Biogen and AstraZeneca, and serves on the boards of ADC Therapeutics, Kymera Therapeutics and Prelude Therapeutics. Dr. Lynn Seely was appointed to AbCellera's Board of Directors on June 30, 2026 as an independent Class III director. She is president and CEO of Lyell Immunopharma Inc. and was previously president, CEO, board member and first employee of Myovant Sciences, where she commercialized Myfembree (relugolix, estradiol and norethindrone acetate) and Orgovyx (relugolix). Earlier she was Chief Medical Officer of Medivation, where she led clinical development of Xtandi (enzalutamide) prior to Medivation's acquisition by Pfizer. She previously served as lead independent director of Blueprint Medicines. She received her M.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed her residency and an endocrinology fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and UC San Diego. Dr. Carl L. G. Hansen is AbCellera's co-founder and has served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board since the company's inception in November 2012. He co-founded Precision NanoSystems Inc., a Vancouver-based developer of non-viral delivery technology for genetic medicines, and served on its board from January 2011 to September 2015. Until August 2019 he was a professor at the University of British Columbia, where he co-authored more than 65 manuscripts in microfluidics, immunology, genomics and nanotechnology, and he previously sat on the scientific advisory board of Fluidigm Corporation. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics with a focus on biotechnology from the California Institute of Technology and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics and Honors Mathematics from the University of British Columbia.
Andrew Booth has served as AbCellera's Chief Financial Officer since August 2019 and previously served on the company's Board of Directors from June 2016 to August 2019, playing a key role in the company's 2020 Nasdaq IPO. Before AbCellera he spent roughly a decade at Vancouver-based STEMCELL Technologies Inc., serving as Chief Commercial Officer (2017-2019), Chief Financial Officer (2013-2017) and VP, Instrumentation (2010-2013). Earlier he spent seven years at GE, concluding as leader of M&A for GE Healthcare's EMEA and global Life Sciences businesses in London. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Véronique Lecault is a co-founder of AbCellera and has served in various positions since November 2012, as a member of the Board of Directors since August 2018, as Chief Operating Officer from January 2019 to February 2025, and as Chief Technology Officer since February 2025. She co-invented the high-throughput microfluidic platform that is now a core part of AbCellera's antibody-discovery technology and oversees the company's process development, clinical manufacturing, quality, engineering, data science and infrastructure functions. She holds a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering / Honours B.Sc. in Biochemistry (Biotechnology) from the University of Ottawa and a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Tryn Stimart has served as AbCellera's Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since August 2019, Chief Compliance Officer since December 2020 and Privacy Officer since 2023. Before joining AbCellera he was a partner at the law firm Gibbons P.C. (2016-2019) and, earlier, a partner at Womble Bond, LLP (2013-2016), representing biotech and pharmaceutical clients. A former U.S. Naval officer, he holds a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law, an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Old Dominion University, and dual B.Sc. degrees in Biochemistry and Genetics & Cell Biology from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Sarah Noonberg is AbCellera's Chief Medical Officer and is responsible for advancing the company's clinical pipeline; she joined in 2025 and presents on the company's earnings calls. A board-certified physician-scientist with more than 20 years of experience leading development programs from discovery to commercialization, she was previously Chief Medical Officer of Metagenomi, Chief Medical Officer of Maze Therapeutics, Head of Global Clinical Development at BioMarin, and Senior Vice President at Medivation. She received her M.D. from the University of California, San Francisco, a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College, and trained in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
