Sunquest develops diagnostic and laboratory information software used by hospitals and clinical laboratories. Roper acquired all of its shares in August 2012 in an all-cash deal valued at about $1.415 billion, including roughly $25 million of cash tax benefits. The acquisition expanded Roper's healthcare information-technology franchise with a business built on recurring revenue.
