Sunrise operates in Office Product Group (Outlook / calendaring). Sunrise built a next-generation mobile calendar app for iOS and Android that unified multiple services into a single scheduling view. Microsoft acquired it to reinvent mobile calendaring within its productivity portfolio, complementing the recent Acompli acquisition and touch-optimized Office apps.
