Microsoft Corporation acquired Sendit AB, a transaction announced in July 1999, structured as Tender offer (accepted by >90% of shareholders).
Sendit AB operates in Mobile Internet / consumer services, is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Sendit, headquartered in Stockholm with offices in London, Seattle and Hong Kong, was a world leader in mobile Internet solutions counting many major GSM operators as clients. Microsoft's tender offer was accepted by more than 90% of Sendit shareholders, making it a wholly owned subsidiary and giving Microsoft its first product-development center in the Nordic region.
Advance Microsoft's goal of delivering information to any device anywhere via Sendit's mobile Internet solutions and establish a Nordic development center.
