Microsoft Corporation acquired ResNova Software, a transaction announced in November 1996.
ResNova Software operates in Internet Explorer for Macintosh. ResNova Software developed internet server and client technologies for the Macintosh, including its WebForOne and Boulevard products. Microsoft acquired two of ResNova's Macintosh internet technologies and hired five of its developers (working out of Microsoft's San Jose offices) to incorporate the technology into future versions of Internet Explorer for the Macintosh.
