PhoneFactor Inc. operates in Server and Tools Division, is based in Overland Park, Kansas, USA. PhoneFactor provided multifactor authentication that used the phone as a second factor and could be deployed rapidly across applications. Microsoft acquired it to bring effective, easy-to-use multifactor authentication to its cloud services and on-premises applications; PhoneFactor already integrated with products such as Outlook Web Access, IIS, and Active Directory.
