LinkAge Software operates in Exchange Server, is based in Toronto, Canada. LinkAge Software built e-mail connectivity and directory-synchronization software that enabled Microsoft Exchange Server to coexist with legacy messaging systems such as IBM OfficeVision, SNADS-based systems and Lotus Notes. Microsoft acquired the Toronto company to enhance Exchange Server's interoperability with diverse legacy e-mail environments; the development team moved to Redmond while consulting and support staff stayed in Toronto.
