Kinvolk operates in Microsoft Azure (Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Arc), is based in Germany. Kinvolk GmbH is an open-source cloud-native engineering firm known for Flatcar Container Linux, the Lokomotive and Inspektor Gadget projects, and early work on Kubernetes, eBPF and container-optimized Linux. Microsoft acquired the team to advance Azure's container platform and deepen its upstream open-source contributions.
