Microsoft Corporation acquired AVIcode, a transaction announced in October 2010.
AVIcode operates in Server and Tools Division (System Center), is based in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. AVIcode developed .NET application performance monitoring software that diagnosed application-level faults in production environments. Microsoft acquired it to add deep application monitoring to System Center, later shipping the technology as the application-performance-monitoring feature of System Center Operations Manager.
