HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC acquired Li-ion Tamer, a transaction completed in July 2025, structured as Tuck-in acquisition of the Li-ion Tamer business/product line from Nexceris; financial terms undisclosed.
Li-ion Tamer operates in Building Automation (Honeywell Building Technologies), is based in Lewis Center, Ohio, USA. Li-ion Tamer is an off-gas detection system for lithium-ion batteries that senses the electrolyte-solvent vapors vented in the earliest stage of a cell failure, warning of thermal runaway well before smoke, heat or flame appear. Honeywell acquired the Li-ion Tamer business and its portfolio of 30-plus global patents from Nexceris, having partnered on the technology over the prior five years. The tuck-in strengthens Honeywell's fire and life-safety offering for energy storage, data centers and EV infrastructure.
Adds early-warning battery off-gas detection to Honeywell's fire life-safety portfolio, complementing solutions such as VESDA, to meet fast-growing demand for battery safety across energy storage, data centers and EV infrastructure.
