AMETEK acquires Global Tubes

AMETEK acquired Global Tubes for part of $356.5 million across two 2015 businesses, a transaction completed in May 2015, structured as All-cash.

Global Tubes operates in EMG. Global Tubes manufactures high-precision, small-diameter metal tubing from stainless steel, nickel, zirconium, titanium and other alloys for demanding aerospace, energy, power-generation and medical applications. It comprised Fine Tubes of Plymouth, UK and Superior Tube of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, with annual sales of roughly $120 million. AMETEK acquired the business in May 2015 for about $200 million, adding it to the Electromechanical Group.
