Bison Gear & Engineering, based in St. Charles, Illinois, designs and builds custom motion-control solutions and had annual sales of approximately $80 million. AMETEK acquired the company in 2023 to strengthen its motion-control and automation offerings, folding it into the Electromechanical Group. Bison Gear was later combined with AMETEK Dynamic Fluid Solutions to form a single business operating under the Bison name.
Bison's engineering expertise and broad product portfolio complement the company's existing motion control and automation solutions business.
