Panoramio operates in Geo (Google Maps & Earth), is based in Spain. Google agreed to purchase Panoramio, a Spain-based community photo website that lets photographers geo-locate, store, and organize their photos and view them in Google Earth. Panoramio's geotagged images had already been a default layer in Google Earth since the start of the year, and Google planned to further integrate the user-generated content into its mapping technologies.
