@Last Software (SketchUp) operates in 3D modeling / Geo (Google Earth). Google acquired @Last Software, the maker of SketchUp, a 3D modeling application. The two companies had already collaborated on a free plug-in that let SketchUp users place 3D building models into Google Earth. The acquisition brought the SketchUp team into Google to accelerate its goal of making 3D content creation broadly accessible.
