Advanced Micro Devices acquired Nod.ai, a transaction announced in October 2023.
Nod.ai operates in AI software (open-source compilers). AMD agreed to acquire Nod.ai, a team specializing in open-source AI software and compiler-based automation, to strengthen its open AI software strategy. Nod.ai is a primary maintainer of and contributor to AI repositories including SHARK, Torch-MLIR and OpenXLA/IREE, and its technology accelerates deployment of AI models across AMD Instinct accelerators, Ryzen AI, EPYC, Versal SoCs and Radeon GPUs. Terms were not disclosed.
