Wematter AB operates in Industrial Solutions, is based in Sweden. In May 2023 3D Systems agreed to acquire Wematter, a Swedish manufacturer of selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printers, to widen its SLS lineup. Wematter's Gravity printer, introduced in 2019, packaged SLS into an affordable, turnkey, small-footprint system that can run in an office on standard power and an ethernet connection, with plug-and-play setup and a closed-loop powder handling design that recycles unused material. The company expected to close the transaction in mid-2023.
