Its software uses sophisticated algorithms to let a manufacturing engineer rapidly determine optimum print setup such as part orientation, support structures, thermal management, and distortion compensation, and it interfaces with leading CAD systems as well as 3D Systems' 3DXpert. 3D Systems signed an agreement to acquire the company to expand its simulation capabilities for rapid optimization of industrial-scale 3D printing processes.
