John R. (Jack) Hartung has been a Tesla director since 2025 and serves on the Audit Committee. He brings a proven track record of executive leadership, with experience overseeing financial and reporting functions at multiple public companies.
Mr. Hartung is currently a senior advisor at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where he most recently served as President and Chief Strategy Officer from October 2024 to May 2025 and earlier as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, having joined in 2002. Before Chipotle he spent 18 years at McDonald's Corp., most recently as Vice President and CFO of its Partner Brands Group. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and Economics and an MBA from Illinois State University and is a CPA and CMA (both not currently practicing).
