Karen Bailo was named commercial lines president in October 2020 and is responsible for the profit and loss, product development, marketing, business development, call-center operations, and IT platform strategy of Progressive's Commercial Lines business. She began at Progressive in 1990 as a management trainee, held roles including personal lines general manager and commercial lines controller, and led Agency Distribution for nine years; she holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
