He joined the Synovus board in 2014, became its lead director in 2023, and now serves as Pinnacle's Lead Director and Chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee.
Kevin S. Blair is Chief Executive Officer and President of Pinnacle Financial Partners, a role he has held since the closing of the merger with Synovus, where he was Chairman, CEO and President. He joined Synovus in 2016 as CFO, became COO in 2018 and CEO in April 2021, following a nearly 20-year career at SunTrust.
Abney S. Boxley, III is chair of Boxley Ready Mix and Boxley Family, LLC and a consultant to Summit Materials, having previously led Boxley Materials Company as president and CEO. He joined the Legacy Pinnacle board in 2017 following its acquisition of BNC Bancorp and served as Legacy Pinnacle's lead director at the time of the merger.
Gregory L. Burns is president of Gregory Burns Consulting Group and the former chairman and CEO of O'Charley's Inc., the Nashville-based restaurant company he led beginning in 1994. He joined the Legacy Pinnacle board in 2015 and brings extensive financial and operational experience with public companies.
Pedro Cherry is chairman, president and CEO of Mississippi Power, a Southern Company electric utility subsidiary, and previously led Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas. He joined the Synovus board in 2020, is a CFA charterholder, and is NACD Directorship Certified.
Thomas C. Farnsworth, III is president and owner of Farnsworth Investment Company, a real estate development firm where he has spent his entire career. He joined the Legacy Pinnacle board in 2015, having previously served as a director of Magna Bank until its 2015 merger with Pinnacle Bank.
David B. Ingram has served in a variety of roles since 1996 at Ingram Entertainment Inc., including chairman and CEO, and founded DBI Beverage Inc. He joined the Legacy Pinnacle board in 2016 after its acquisition of Avenue Financial Holdings, where he had been a director.
John H. Irby is a commercial real estate investor and attorney with Atlanta-based Wilson Brock & Irby, LLC, and managing partner of Tall Pines Properties and Equity Resource Partners. He joined the Synovus board in 2022 and chairs the board of the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
Decosta E. Jenkins is the former president and CEO of Nashville Electric Service, which he led from 2004 until retiring in June 2022, and is a certified public accountant. He joined the Legacy Pinnacle board in 2021 and serves on the boards of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and i3 Verticals, Inc.
Robert A. McCabe, Jr. is a co-founder of Legacy Pinnacle and Pinnacle Bank and serves as the company's Vice Chair and Chief Banking Officer following the merger, having been chairman of the board since the bank's formation in 2000. He began his banking career at Park National Bank in 1976 and later held senior roles at First American Corporation, including vice chairman.
Gregory Montana is the former executive vice president and chief risk officer of Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), from which he retired in April 2023 after an 11-year tenure. He joined the Synovus board in 2025 and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Barry L. Storey is principal of BLS Holdings Group, an Augusta, Georgia real estate and alternative-asset firm, and was previously founding partner of Hull Storey Gibson Companies. He joined the Synovus board in 2013 and serves on several boards, including the University of Georgia Athletic Association.
G. Kennedy Thompson is a former principal of Aquiline Capital Partners and the former president and CEO of Wachovia Corporation, where he worked for 32 years. He joined the Legacy Pinnacle board in 2017 and currently serves on the boards of LendingTree, Inc. and Insteel Industries, Inc.
M. Terry Turner is a co-founder of Legacy Pinnacle and Pinnacle Bank and serves as the company's non-executive Chair of the Board, having been president and CEO from the bank's formation in 2000 until the merger. He previously spent 14 years at First American National Bank in Nashville in senior executive roles across banking, trust and investment operations.
Teresa White is President Emeritus of Aflac U.S., which she led as president from 2014 to 2023 after serving as chief operating officer and in other senior roles. She joined the Synovus board in 2019 and serves on the board of Landstar.
Zack Bishop is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a role he has held since the merger, and previously led technology, operations and security at Synovus beginning in 2018. He earlier served as CIO of Renasant Bank and held senior technology roles at Regions Bank, with over 30 years of experience in banking technology.
Shellie Creson is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer, a role she has held since the merger, and joined Synovus in July 2022 as chief risk officer. She previously served as chief audit executive of Fifth Third Bancorp and held leadership roles at Regions Financial, and is a former KPMG certified public accountant.
Andrew Jamieson Gregory, Jr. is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a role he has held since the merger, having joined Synovus as CFO in June 2019. He previously headed corporate financial strategy at Regions Financial and spent a decade as a portfolio manager at Wachovia Bank.
Jill Hurley is Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller, roles she has held since the merger, having served in the same capacities at Synovus since 2018 and 2020 respectively. She previously directed financial reporting and accounting policy at IberiaBank and is a certified public accountant.
Allan E. Kamensky is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, a role he has held since the merger, having served as general counsel of Synovus since February 2014. He previously practiced banking and real estate law for about 16 years as a partner at Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker & Ford, P.C.
Dana Sanders is Executive Vice President and Chief Audit Officer, a role she has held since the merger, and previously served as chief audit executive of Legacy Pinnacle from March 2020. She joined Legacy Pinnacle in 2009 and is a former KPMG certified public accountant.
Charissa D. Sumerlin is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, a role she has held since the merger, having served as Legacy Pinnacle's chief credit officer since July 2024. She joined Legacy Pinnacle in 2018 and began her career at SunTrust before spending a decade at BB&T.
Jennifer Upshaw is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, leading human resources, marketing and communications since the merger, and also serves as executive sponsor of the integration management office. She joined Synovus in 2003 and previously served as chief of staff to CEO Kevin Blair beginning in May 2021.
