Chirantan J. Desai has served as MongoDB's President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the board of directors since November 2025. Prior to joining MongoDB he served as President of Product and Engineering of Cloudflare, Inc. from October 2024.
Before Cloudflare he was at ServiceNow, Inc. as President and Chief Operating Officer (Jan 2023-Jul 2024), Chief Operating Officer (Jan 2022-Jan 2023) and Chief Product and Engineering Officer (Dec 2016-Jan 2022). Earlier he held various roles at EMC Corporation from September 2013 to December 2016, including President of the Emerging Technologies Division, and several executive roles at Symantec Corporation from November 2004 to September 2013 running Information Management and Enterprise Security product lines. He began his career at Oracle Corporation.
He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
