Carl R. Christenson is an independent director of IDEX who brings extensive public company leadership experience through his long tenure as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Altra Industrial Motion Corp., a global manufacturer of electromechanical power transmission and motion control products. His background reflects broad experience leading industrial businesses and a proven ability to accelerate growth while executing strategic acquisitions.
During his leadership, Altra completed its approximately $3 billion transaction with Fortive in 2018 and was acquired by Regal Rexnord Corporation for $4.95 billion in 2023. Mr. Christenson holds an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and both an M.S.M.E. and a B.S.M.E. from the University of Massachusetts.
