Michael J. LaBarre, Ph.D., served as Senior Vice President, Chief Technical Officer of Halozyme Therapeutics until his retirement on March 17, 2025. He joined Halozyme in June 2008 as Vice President, Product Development and held various officer positions, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Chief Technical Officer since January 2020, and was a key contributor to the Company's ENHANZE drug delivery technology.

Prior to joining Halozyme, Dr. LaBarre served as Vice President, Product Development at Paramount BioSciences from April 2006 to June 2008, and as Director, Analytical and Protein Biochemistry, Discovery Research at Biogen Idec from December 2003 to April 2006. From November 1995 to December 2003 he held various research and development roles at IDEC Pharmaceuticals Corporation, most recently as Director, Analytical and Formulation Sciences, R&D, and earlier held research and development positions at various pharmaceutical companies from July 1992 to November 1995.

He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Arizona and his B.S. in Chemistry from Southampton College of Long Island University.
