Craig Eagle, M.D., served as Guardant Health's Chief Medical Officer since April 2021. On April 27, 2026, the Company announced his resignation as Chief Medical Officer, to be effective as of May 8, 2026.
Prior to joining Guardant Health, Dr. Eagle served as Vice President of Medical Affairs Oncology for Genentech from 2019 to 2021, where he oversaw the medical programs across the oncology portfolio and developed innovative cancer trials and strategies in personalized health care. Prior to Genentech, he held several positions in the U.S. and internationally at Pfizer from 2009 to 2019, including most recently as General Manager of Pfizer Oncology in the United Kingdom from 2016 to 2019.
Dr. Eagle graduated from medical school at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and received his general internist training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He completed his specialist training in hemato-oncology and laboratory hematology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney and was granted Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (FRCPA).
