Gail B. Harris is Evercore's Lead Director, Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee. She began her legal career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in 1977, was a partner in the Corporate Department from 1984 to 1998, and was Of Counsel through June 2011, with extensive experience advising on corporate, securities, joint ventures, and M&A matters.
