Encompass Health's official press release states that Patrick Tuer was promoted from group president to the newly established position of chief operating officer, effective April 24, 2025, reporting to president and CEO Mark Tarr. As COO he oversees hospital operations across the organization; as group president he had overseen three geographic operating regions comprising 69 hospitals. He joined Encompass Health in 2018 and has held several leadership positions, including regional president and regional vice president.
